Crimson red, sweet, flowery, earthy saffron. An essential spice whose threads produce a distinct golden color and aroma that is impossible to replicate. 

Over a month long period, every flower is hand picked by sunrise, then the stigmas are cured for 8 months, just in time for the next season of planting. 

Saffron is known for being the most expensive spice by weight in the world, and for good reason. The process for harvesting must be done by hand, and to produce 1 pound of threads takes over 70,000 flowers.
